The beach of Saint Georges de Didonne is a long sandy beach, ideal for families. There are rarely waves, which is ideal for young children. It is possible to practice sailing sports, as well as water activities.
The beach stretches from Pointe de Suzac, with the tree climbing and not far from the estuary park, to the nautical center, not far from the Vallières lighthouse and the small port of St Georges.
From St Georges beach, you can walk to the city center in just a few minutes and have a drink on the terrace on Place de Verdun or Rue de la République. From the beach, you are also a few minutes drive from the beach of Grand Conche in Royan, or the small beaches of Meschers Sur Gironde.
