The Forest of La Coubre at La Tremblade is a vast national forest located in the town of La Tremblade, but covering a large area connecting the towns of Ronce-les Bains, Les mathes-La Palmyre, La tremblade, and Arvert. It covers an area of over 7,900 hectares.
It is made up mainly of pines, and is established along the wild side, from Ronce-les-Bains, passing through the Spanish tip, to the Coubre lighthouse. What makes it special is its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the long beaches of the wild coast.
From the Coubre forest, you are close to Ronce Les Bains, but also to the town of La Palmyre- Les Mathes, two lively towns in season, with lots of accommodation and activities: nautical activities, hiking, mountain biking, etc …
