Vaux sur Mer near Royan is a small coastal town located between Royan, more precisely Pontaillac and St Palais Sur Mer. It is located at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, on the beauty coast and has several very busy beaches in season, some of which are known as fallback spots for surfing.
From Vaux-Sur Mer, it is easy to get to the big coast or the wild coast, and thus enjoy the bustle of the towns of Royan or St Palais Sur Mer. You can also enjoy the beach of Nauzan and the well-known White House.
It is possible to follow the coast using the coastal path on foot, or the velodyssey. You can also enjoy the market, installed on Place François-Courtot every Tuesday and Saturday in low season and every day in July and August.
