St Georges de Didonne is a small town located at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, on the beauty coast, and known for its long sandy beach.
St Georges de Didonne is a small town located at the entrance of the Gironde Estuary between the towns of Royan and Meschers sur Gironde, on the “beauty coast”.
From St Georges de Didonne, it is easy to get to Meschers sur Gironde, or even Talmont sur Gironde and thus discover the limestone cliffs and troglodyte caves, and the small beaches surrounded by cliffs.
It is known for its large sandy beach, ideal for a day out with the family, the Pointe de Suzac and the Suzac forest, in which you can hike or go mountain biking.
The town of Royan is just a few minutes away, along the coast. Further on, still along the coast, you can discover the town of St Palais Sur Mer, the wild coast which will take you to La Tremblade, and the island of Oléron.
Vallières, pointe de Vallières: Choose Vallières for its ideal location, between the beach of St Georges de Didonne and the main beach of Royan.
Historic center: The center of St Georges will allow you to do everything on foot, from restaurants and bars around the church square, to the beach and the nautical center
Towards the Meschers road: You will be able to fully enjoy the forest and the Pointe de Suzac, just a few minutes from Meschers and its typical beaches.
Near the beach: Between the city center and the road to Meschers, you will enjoy this quiet area, made up of houses spaced out under the pines, just a few minutes from the beach.
