The Lighthouse of La Coubre at La Tremblade is a lighthouse colored in white and red, located on the tip of La Coubre, near La Palmyre- Les Mathes, in the town of La Tremblade, about fifteen kilometers from the city of Royan .
It has a museum, and remains the highest lighthouse in Charente-Maritime, with its 64 meters and 300 steps. It is ideally located near the coast, called the wild coast here, and renowned for its long sandy beaches, and its formidable waves.
It is classified as a historical monument, and is fully automated. It faces the king of lighthouses, the lighthouse of the kings, the Cordouan lighthouse.
